Recycling

Engineering plastics recycling recovers high-performance resins — ABS, Nylon, PBT, Polycarbonate (PC), and PC/ABS blends — from manufacturing scrap, production rejects, and end-of-life products. These materials have significantly higher value per pound than commodity plastics.

What We Accept

All items processed through certified facilities with full documentation.

Recycling Process

1

Identification

Resin identified by FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) analysis or burn testing. Accurate identification is critical — engineering plastics command 5-10x commodity prices.

2

Sorting

Separated by resin type, color, and grade. Filled vs unfilled. Virgin vs regrind. Cross-contamination between resin types eliminated.

3

Grinding

Parts and runners ground to consistent particle size. Screened to remove fines and oversized pieces.

4

Compounding

Regrind blended, pelletized, and quality-tested to meet specification for injection molding. Often sold back into the same industry that generated the scrap.

Significantly more than commodity plastics. Clean ABS regrind can be $0.30-$0.60/lb. Nylon and PC are often higher. Virgin resin overstock or off-spec material commands the best prices. We quote based on resin type, grade, and volume.

Yes — injection molding runners, sprues, and purge material are our most common engineering plastic stream. Keep resins separated (don't mix ABS with PC) for best value.

Yes. Glass-filled nylon (GF-Nylon 66, GF-Nylon 6) is accepted. Glass content must be identified — 30% glass-filled nylon is processed differently than unfilled. We test glass content before pricing.

Yes. Plant closures and production line changes often generate large volumes of engineering plastic scrap — inventory, WIP, regrind stockpiles, and reject parts. We coordinate rapid pickup and processing.
